Sketch time at Polka Doodles!!

It's time for a new challenge at Polkadoodles and this time we got to follow a sketch. I love a sketch because it takes the thinking time out of designing a card!! and this one was no exception! As always I added extra layers but I made sure the sketch was still visible!!
There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs for this challenge so why not join us.
Here is my take on the sketch:
View with the gate closed!!
View with the gate open!!
I had lots of fun making my card this week!! I used papers from the Welcome Home and Heavenly Garden collections from the Picknix first CD and some from CD Picnix 2. The house and the fence and sentiment are also from Welcome Home. I used the already coloured images as I'm loving experimenting with all the digital images!! I added glitter glue around the houses, added some flowers along the fence, a few rhinestones and made some shrinky dink butterflies. I wanted the fence to open so cut some slits in it and threaded the ribbon through. I just love the way it turned out. Oh and I added some crystal effects to the windows for a bit of dimension!!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Crafting for all Seasons - Use Flowers
* Fab n Funky - 3 of something or number 3
* Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
* Party time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
* Tuesday Throwdown - Lots of Layers
* Ooh LaLa Creations -  Seeing Spots and Dots
* Pile it On - Anything But a Christmas card
Be sure to head on over to Polkadoodles to see what the rest of DT created!!

Holiday Edibles at Craft Your Passion!!

Another new week which means another new challenge at Craft Your Passion. This week we are being sponsored by Cedar Chest Designs and Limited Runs and our challenge is Holiday Edibles - so we want to see those holiday goodies....pumpkin pies, candy canes....you get the idea :)
I used Pumpkin Patch Sign from Cedar Chest designs and also used their digi papers from the mini pumpkin set!
I coloured this image in three times and just couldn't get the pumpkins right and still not happy with these one's but I had no patience to try again!! I used tria markers to coour the image and wrote in the sentiment. I kept the card nice and simple just adding  buttons and rope and a couple of rhinestones!!
Well just like the card i'm keeping it simple so why not head on over to the CYP blog and see what the rest of the DT created and what you could win if you join in with our challenge this week!

A new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy

Sorry for the late posting, has been a crazy day!! But I won't bore you with all that, I'm here now.
For this fortnights challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy we are sponsored by My Graphico and we got to play with a fun Christmas digi set which is what you can win if you join in with this challenge!!

I used Santa and his reindeers (probably should have used some twine or something to pull it all together!)  and positioned them so it looked like they were taking off ready to deliver presents!! All the papers (and the sentiment tag) are from the Kaisercraft Christmas Carnival Collection which I just love - I think cos it's not traditional colours!! The images are coloured in with tria markers and the bell's coloured in with a silver glitter pen. To finish off the card I added some buttons and rhinestones and kindyglitz here and there on the patterned paper!!!
Well I hope you'll join us using the fabulous sketch that you can find on the SALS blog along with the digi images you can win and all the fabulous DT creations!!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Dream Valley - Non Traditional Christmas
* The Squirrel and the Fox - Anything Goes
* Wags n Whiskers - Christmas
* Moving Along with the Times - Let's Go Dotty

A different fold at Elisabeth Bell's World

Wow, it's only one month till Christmas!! Can you believe how quickly this year has gone? And im pretty sure things aren't about to slow down now that we are into the silly season!!! I really love christmas, spending time with family and friends, eating all that good food (even though it adds kilos to my waistline) but especailly seeing my kids open their presents on christmas morning!! It just brings pure joy, seeing the looks on their faces as they see what santa has left them!!
My boys have already written up their santa letters with what they would like for christmas and they will be posting them off in two weeks time when we head into the city to meet Santa!!
Anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World which is A Different Fold and we are being sponsored by Whiff of Joy!! I absolutely love the Elisabeth Bell images you  can get from Whiff of Joy and the santa images are no exception!
I decided to try my hand at a star card that I have seen around the blogging world recently and chose to use Santa reading List (which hasn't been coloured up for awhile)

 My Star card closed
The card open
I coloured Santa Reading List in wth Tria markers and added some Rock Candy stickles to the fur on his hat and coat. I used Green card stock as my base then added the star paper (not sure of the brand) and the cream card stock. I then added the rhinestone (strips) to  each arm of the star!!It looked a bit empty on the cream arms so added the green buttons!! And so that santa sould stand out a bit I stuck him on a green circle tat i cut out and wrapped some twine around it!!
The sentiment inside is from a papertrey ink Christmas set!! I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt!!
I hope that you will join us this month, I look forward to seeing all your fancy fold cards!! Head on over to the Elisabeth Bell's World challenge blog to see all the details of the challenge!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
* Christmas Cards all Year round - Shaped or Fancy Folds
* Dutch Dare cards - Fancy Folds
* Allsorts - Bring on the Bling
* Totally Gorjuss - Don't be Square

Case a DT card at Paper Crafting Journey!!

It's time for another challenge at Paper Crafting Journey and this fortnight we would like you to Case a DT card! We are being sponsored by the wonderfully talented Elisabeth Bell and if you head on over to her blog you can find so many cute images in her digital collection and I know you will want more than one :) We were given a couple of images to work with but recently the fabulously generous Elisabeth Bell gave the Digi Bell's a couple of images from the vault and I really wanted to colour them up and create with them. You would have seen one of them in a post earlier in the week and today I have Teen Village Boy to share with you!! Now unfortunately this image is not currently available to purchase but you never know what the future holds!!
When I saw this image I knew exactly what I wanted to do but unfortunately the card didn't come together as I would have liked!! I obviously flipped the image so I could have them looking like they were  having a snowball fight (so apologies for Elisabeth's name being backwards ) I coloured the images in with Tria markers and added rock candy stickles to the cuffs of their boots and the snowballs. I also added rock candy stickles around the edge of the die cut and on the snowflakes on the sentiment stamp! I also went over the sentiment with kindglitz for a bit of sparkle!! And the background paper is something I found in my stash!!!
So whose card are you going to CASE? Go and check out the Paper Crafting Journey blog to see what the rest of the DT girls have created...
Look forward to stopping by your blogs to see what you have created!

Craft Your Passion Kids - November Challenge!!

Hello, I am posting on behalf of Logan as he is sound asleep in bed! :) It is time for a new challenge at CYPK and the theme for this month is Winter Fun! They are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter this month and Logan chose to use a pre-coloured snowman for his card!!
Logan went through my stash of papers and found a snowman one and the the HoHoHo oe so he cut them out and stuck them onto his card! He cut out the image and stuck that on then added buttons (he has an addiction like I do) :) The flower is an added embellishment that Logan put on when he was taking photos of his card!
Well that's it from me, I have some images to colour for some upcoming challenges. But please stop by the CYPK blog and check out what the rest of the kids have created! I'm sure they would love to read your lovely comments!!

From the vault at The Digi Bell's

It's my turn to post on the Digi Bell's blog today and I have something fantastic to share with you! The fabulously talented  Elisabeth Bell recently surprised the Digi Bell's DT wih some digi images from the vault!! I was so excited, that I had to colour them up straight away and now I can share one of them with you!! Unfortunately for everyone else this fabulous image is not available to buy but you never do know so keep your fingers crossed!!!
This is Teen Village Girl! Some of you may recognize her but I didn't so it was exciting to get her!! I coloured her in with Tria markers and added rock Candy Stickles to the cuffs on her coat! I wanted her to stand out so decided to do a white theme so I started with white CS, embossed a piece of white card stock, then added some fancy ribbon. I then stuck the image down. Then I die cut some snow flakes (not sure that I like them but it was all I could find today!!) I covered the snowflakes in with icicle stickles then finished off with the dew drops!!
Don't forget a new Elisabeth Bell's World challenge starts in a few days so be sure to come back then.

Use Your Scraps at CYP

Well the challenge this week at Craft Your Passion is a super easy one for me - Use Your Scraps - because I have been doing that for the past 11 months. I challenged myself to not buy any new patterned papers this year and I have been successful so far!! For this challenge we are being sponsored by  Stitchy Bear and The Robin's Nest!!

For my card I used Hunter BuBu which is an image from Stitchy Bear. It was fun to make a boys card for a change.
I coloured Hunter BuBu in with Tria markers! Not sure where my papers are from cos they are scraps :) and the stars were punched out from scraps also! I then added the buttons and the adventure ribbon and rope which are in fact from The Robin's Nest. Not much more to say about my card so head on over to the Craft Your Passion Blog to see what the rest of the DT have created!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* Glitter and Sparkle - Lots of Layers
* One Stitch at a Time - Use a Digi
* The Squirrel and the Fox - Anything Goes
* Send a Smile for Kids - Anything Goes for Kids
* Moving Along with the Times - Seeing Stars

HOLLY'S HAPPY MAIL
Isn't she just wonderful? Some of you may recognise her but I haven't seen her before!!As soon as I saw her I knew I wanted to pair her up with Creative Genius, Michele.
Being a mum, I constantly get letters and drawings from my boys and with Holly wearing her apron with some crafty tools in her pocket I thought Holly and Michele coud be crafting together and Michele has just drawn mum a picture!! Have I confused you? Anyway that was my idea so I went with it!! Both images are coloured with tria markers. I then just found some coloured papers to match the colours I had used. I then just made some layers, punched out some flowers, added some ribbon and finished it off with some rhinestones!! Oh and of course some flowers and buttons!! So I hope you like it!!!!
Now it's time to hop on over to Wendy's Blog where you will be dazzled with her creation!!!
I hope that you enjoy the hop!!!

I'm a Polkadoodle Design Team Member!!!

I have been meaning to pop in all week and share the exciting news ... Nikky asked me a week or so ago if I would join the Polkadoodles Team and of course I said yes! Thanks Nikky!! So today is my first challenge as part of the team!!! There are quite a few new girls so please head on over to the Polkadoodles blog and welcome them all!!
Unfortunately I am a bit time poor today so this is going to have to be a super quick post!!
So today's challenge is make a square card and add a round element to it!!

I decided to try my hand on making a digital layout and I think for my first attemp I was pretty successful and I even still managed to colour in an image and add ribbon! All the elements and sentiment are from the PickNix Collection Gingerbread Twist. I love to colour so I chose to use an uncoloured gingerbread man and colour him myself with Tria markers... He looks a little on the well done side (hehehe) but happy with it all the same!! The round element on my card is the rhinestones!!

There are some great prizes if you join in this weeks challenge so head on over to the Polkadoodles blog and check out all the details!!
Again I am sorry for the short post.... plans changed and now having to rush off!!

My card was supposed to be a bit cleaner but then I bought this tree stencil and just had to use it!!
I used this sweet little image - friends were flowers which came with the sentiment!! I coloured her in with Tria markers and added kindyglitz to her wings. The tree is inked with some chalk inks!!

Delicious Doodles at Seems a Little Sketchy!!

Hello, Hope you are having beautiful weather like we are in melbourne!! Has been an absolutely glorious day!! Unfortunately I have spent most of it inside due to hopsital visits and shopping but it's still nice to see the sun shining!!
So another fortnight has passed so it's time for a new sketch at SALS. We are sponsored by Delicious Doodles so I used Fairy Ivy which I won awhile ago!!!
I decided to go with a black and white theme. I didn't want to colour fairy Ivy so I just added a bit of colour with Twinkling H2O's to her wings and the ivy!! And all I did was add faux stitching to finish off the card!! I decided to follow the sketch today without adding bits and pieces!!Head on over to the Seems a Little Sketchy blog to see what the rest of the DT did with the sketch!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* Dream Valley - Anything Goes

Anything Goes at Paper Crafting Journey!!

Wow, seems like forever since I did a PCJ post but it really has only been two weeks!! There were some fabulous entries in our Ribbon and Twine challenge, sorry I was so late commenting!!  So thanks for joining us!!! This fortnight is another challenge everyone loves - Anything Goes! We are being sponsored by Pink Cat Studio this challenge and they are offering a fabulous prize of 5 digi images!! Wow!!
I used Lily Sugarplum Fairy for my card and chose a pink, green and purple theme!!

I coloured Lily in with tria markers and added kindyglitz to her wings!! I found some embossed paper in my scraps stash as well as the purple metallic paper!! I stamped out the crowns and coloured them in with tria markers, then added the ribbon. To finish the card off I found these fabulous pink flowers and these perfect coloured pearls (from Inky Impressions). Oh and I added the rhinestones as well. :)
That's it from me today!! I'll be back tomorrow with some exciting news.
Be sure to pop on over to the PCJ blog to see what the rest of the DT have created!!!

Craft Your Passion - Hexagons

Hello, Hello... Sorry for the lack of posts, been a busy week but things have quietened down for awhile so hopefully I can post more often.. It's time for a new challenge at CYP and this week we'd like to see you use at least one hexagon on your creation!! We are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and we were lucky enough to be given a few digi's to use!! I couldn't decide which one to use so I chose all three! :) We are also sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and Stamp fairy!! So three awesome reasons to join in the challenge!!
Due to shortage of time this past week (and cos I didn't get these done a month ago) all my cards are CAS!
For my first card I used "Adorable Miss Hall". I coloured her in with tria markers! I then just inked (with Walnut stain DI) some hexagons onto my card stock using a stencil and stamped out the Hello sentiment.
This is cockatoo Rules and he is also coloured in with tria markers!! I also inked a hexagon background cos I loved how the first card turned out, then added the Tickled Pink Stamps sentiment.
And for my final card I used Mucha Influence - Winter. She is also coloured in with Tria markers!! I added Rock Candy Stickles for the snow then added the dew drops.
Well that's it from me for now... Head on over to CYP blog to check out the rest of the DT's creations!!

CAS card for the Digi Bell's!!

Wow, what a busy week it's been this past week!!! It was my youngest son's 6th Birthday yesterday so I have spent the week previous preparing for it and today it was the big clean up and playing with all his new toys so I totally forgot to get a card done for my Digi Bell's post today! So I have quickly made this CAS card which I keep thinking needs somethng else added to it (as I'm used to adding so many papers and embellishments)

I've used Sweet Sundae from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection... You can get her from HERE along with all Elisabeth's adorable digi images. I coloured her in with Tria markers. I stuck her on the card with 3d dots then stamped out the sentiment. I inked around the edges of the card then added the buttons!!
Don't forget there is a challenge going on over at the Elisabeth Bell's World blog at the moment so why not join in!!
