It's a sketch at Elisabeth Bell's World!!

Another late post.... have been busy cleaning awaiting my new washing machine!!! Sad life I lead but exciting for me cos the last one always kept breaking down!! Hopefully this one serves me better!!! :)
Anyway, it's the time of the month for a new challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World and this month we have a sketch for you to play along with!! This month we are sponsored by:

Whiff of Joy
and of course you can also win two Elisabeth Bell digital images from her digital collection!!
So here is my spin on the sketch!
alethea
I used this gorgeous Elisabeth Bell image from Whiff of Joy. I think it's Willow from a collection I got a few years ago!! I coloured her in with Tria markers and the white is actually coloured in with a clear glaze pen that I bought awhile ago!!I used papers from my scraps stash and even made my own design paper but it ended up getting covered up the image and all the embellishments!! I used a doily (well half a one) rhinestones, ribbon, flowers twine and the strawberry charm to make the card look beautiful!! The sentiment came with the same set as the image!!!
I hope that you can join us at Elisabeth Bell's World this month and remember you can use any Elisabeth Bell image from the many companies she designs for just be sure to link back to where the image is from!!

Challenge 151 at CYP!!

Wow, I'm getting a bit behind again with posts... so sorry everyone!!! And my commenting!!! I am sincerely sorry if I have not been stopping by and commenting but I just always seem to be busy but not sure what doing cos I feel like I'm not accomplishing anything!!
Anyway I am here now and hoping to get my act together!!
Before I get on with the new challenge just wanted to say a big THANKS to Jenn (blog owner of CYP) for all that you do to run these fabulous challenges!! We all really appreciate all the work you put in to make everything run smoothly!! :)
So we have a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and we are sponsored by Birdie Brown. We would love to see a BANNER on your card somewhere for this challenge so get out your dies or punches or create your own and join us!!
I used Pocketable Puppy for my card and literally made a pocket out of it, so that the puppy could be pulled out with the sentiment on it!!

I coloured the image in with Tria markers. I then cut the dog and flowers away from the pocket and added the yellow tag to it and stamped Happy Birthday on it! I then die cut the peony for behind the puppy then die cut the banner and just added the ribbon and rhinestones!!
Kept it pretty simple but I think it looks cute!!
Hope you can join us at Craft Your Passion this week!

BINGO!!!

Yep it's time for a game of BINGO at Paper Crafting Journey!! And for this challenge we are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs!! I used one of my SSD images that I already had printed out (my new years resolution) - Skater Sassy!!

BINGO

I got a bit carried away with my card so I got Bingo across the middle horizontally and vertically!! :) So I used Gems, embossing , ribbon/twine, diecuts/punches and buttons. When I first finished my card, it looked a bit bare so I kept adding to it!

I decided to use one of my favourite colour combos - brown and pink!
I coloured Skater Sassy in with tria markers and used a gold glitter pen on the wings of her top and the buckle of her belt!! The papers I used are from my scrap stash (so not sure of the company). You may not be able to see but I have embossed the newsprint paper with dots. I added the ribbon and twine then I  went crazy with all my embellishments... buttons, rhinestones, flowers, added the die cut vines and the sentiment which is from Make it Crafty. And of xourse to finish it off I added some kindyglitz to the spotted paper!!!
I hope that you can join us at Paper Crafting Journey this fortnight and play along with our BINGO challenge!!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* Crafting for All Seasons - Dies/Punches
* Inky Impressions - Favourite Colour Combo
* 4 Crafty Chicks - Twine
* Bearly Mine - Lace/Ribbon/Twine
* Deep Ocean - The Letter B (I've used buttons, brown)
* Papertake weekly - Buttons and Bling
* A Gem of a Challenge - Dies/Punches

Sweet Tooth Mary at The Digi Bell's!!

Must apologize for the terrible photo, today has kind of snuck up on me, so didn't get my card made till just now for my Digi Bell's Post... I thought I was well ahead of all my DT committments but then I realised that I wasn't!   So I have had to take the photo in not so good a light!! In fact I took a short cut and actually used this recycled card (because when I made this card I hated the image and since found out it wasn't a legitimate image anyway) and just coloured the image and made a few modifications!! So I used Sweet Tooth Mary which you can get from Elisabeth Bell's Digital collection but I didn't really want the tooth fairy component of the image so I cut off the tooth Fairy and then turned the tooth brush into a ruler!!
I used the colours of the papers to colour the image using tria markers!! I then added the rhinestones and kindyglitz. I actually love this card now!! Will be perfect for a crafty friend!!
Well it's bed time for me.... Enjoy your day everyone in the Northern Hemisphere!!

A Birthday Card for my Brother!!

Wow, can you believe this, my third post today!! If you would like to see my Craft Your Passion post or Seems a little Sketchy post then please keep scrolling...
It was my brothers birthday yesterday so we had a party for him and my niece (who turned 4 a week and a half ago). My sister made the cake and I made my brothers card!!
Isn't this awesome... My sister makes the most amazing cakes!!

Now I'm not great at making male cards and really don't have a lot of male images so because my brother is always fixing or making something, whether it be a computer or a car, a bed base etc. So with that in mind I thought I'd use a stamp I haven't used before(and there are so many) ... Fix- It Christopher from Inky Impressions!!
I coloured Fix-It Christopher in with Tria Markers. The papers are all from my Scrap Stash (the SB papers are from Kaszazz), I wasn't sure what else to add to the card so I went through all my embellishments and found my little saw charm that is also from Inky Impressions. I attached it with the twine, then added the stars and buttons and used the sentiment from Make it Crafty!! I tore the paper for a bit of character...
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
* Inky Impressions - Ribbon or Twine
* My time to Craft - Men Only
* Sweet Stampin'- Stars and Stripes
* Raise the Bar - Anything Goes
* Cards Galore - One for the Men
* Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
* Whimsy Stamps - Add Some Metal

Stamp Fairy is sponsoring Craft Your Passion!!

It's time to get out your glitter and go crazy!!! It's time for a new challenge at Craft your Passion and we are sponsored by  Stamp Fairy!!! And if you haven't guessed already our theme this week is All That glitters!!
An easy one for me as I always have to add glitter somewhere on my cards!! So I got to use Mimi Stars from the Stamp Fairy and this is what I created!
I coloured Mimi Stars in with tria markers and added glitter to the stars and the floor mimi is standing on!! The papers are all from my scrap stash and I added glitter to all the stars!! Then I went crazy with my embellishments, adding stars and some glitter to those, rhinestones, ribbon and buttons!!
Hope that you can join us this week and show us your glittery projects!!!

A New Sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy!!

I am exhausted today...walked the kids to school then walked to my aquarobics  class, did my class then walked home... now I have no motivation to do anything else (although I have cleaned out all my clothes drawers today) plus it's 35 degrees here today so that doesn't help!!
Anyway, we have a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy which I changed slightly and we are sponsored by Squigglefly and My Heart Pieces!!

And here is my card!!
All the papers and sentiments I used are from my scraps stash. I then just added the image "Love You Momma" from my Heart Pieces (which I coloured with tria markers) and the stars and rhinestones!! The only real change I made to the sketch was bringing the circle forward and moving the sentiment!!!
Hope you can join us at SALS this fortnight!!

Shabby Chic at Polka Doodles!!

Hi everyone, how are you? Staying cool (or warm if you're in the Northern Hemisphere!!) We are in the middle of a string of 30 plus degree days so it's reasonably hot. It's 8pm here and still 29 degrees... :) Oh and thunder rolling in the background!! LOL!!
So it's time for a new challenge over at Polka Doodles and our challenge this fortnight is Shabby Chic!  Now I have to be honest and say that I'm not too sure what that means so  hopefully my card is shabby chic!! As always there are some fabulous prizes up for grabs but if you can't wait to see if you won why not head  over to the Polka Doodles store where you can pick up some fantastic digi's both paper and images that you can purchase for awesome prices and download them straight away and start creating with them!!
Well here is my card for the Shabby Chic challenge:

All the papers, images and the sentiment are from the Studio 12 CD Picknix Collection 1 . I put this all together on the computer and printed off an extra mannequin so that I could give the card a bit of dimension!! I distressed around the edges of the card, then added some buttons, pins and the ribbon which I inked with walnut stain distress ink!! I also added a little rhinestone and a bit of glitter on the blue buttons!! I think it turned out ok but you can be the judge!
Head on over to the Polka Doodles blog to see what the rest of the DT have done!! There is always lots of inspiration to be found over there!!

My Valentine at Craft Your Passion!!

Not long now till Valentine's Day!!  The boys and I have a special dinner planned as we do every year, then we are off to the Summer Reading club party, which the boys participated in over the summer (and read over 500 books between them). I actually think the teachers are striking that day so I can plan the dinner with the boys!!! May even have a special lunch instead seeing as we have a busy night!!
Anyway as always I'm rambling!! It's time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and this time the theme is MY VALENTINE!! Nice and easy one cos everyone is creating cards for valentines day!! If it wasn't for DT committments I wouldn't be making cards for this day cos I'm single!! LOL!!
We are being sponsored by Bugaboo stamps this week and I chose to use Clyde - Be Mine!!
I kept this design simple cos I wanted this sweet little guy to stand out!!! I coloured clyde in with Tria markers, mounted it on pink card stock then found some sparkly blue scrap that I cut up to put behind the image, then just added some ribbon, found some heart buttons and finished it off with rhinestones!! I hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion and be sure to stop by the blog for more inspiration!!

There's a whole lot of LOVE over at The Paper Crafting Journey!!

I was just thinking it doesn't seem like two weeks has past since the last PCJ challenge but that would be because I was late getting my card done so did a mid week post last week!! Silly me!!! Anyway, this week at PCJ our theme is LOVE and we are being sponsored by the fabulous Krista from Saturated Canary!! I absolutely love her images but don't think I do them any justice with my colouring!!!
Now I'm not  a great fan of this time of year and having to make cards that are for valentine's day or just lovey dovey in general because I'm single!! But I do actually make Valentine's day a special day for my boys by making them heart sandwiches and something with hearts for dinner!! Not too sure what we are having for dinner this year but have bought some heart pie cases so will make a brownie or cake or something for them!! I also have another little surprise for them but I will share those with you next week when I have made them!! Anyway, I'm rambling..  so onto my card!!
I was lucky enough to get this gorgeous image Puppy Love from Saturated canary to create with which I think is perfect for lots of occasions, they could even be used on their own!! Anyway, coloured them in with tri markers and paper pieced the girls bow, dress, shoes and stockings!! I inked around the image with Pickled Raspberry distress ink. All the papers are from a blog candy I recently won from Amy at A Thousand Sheets of Paper. I added a quarter of a doily and inked it with the pickled raspberry distress ink also then added the two heart pins and the heart charm on twine!! Finished off the card with the flowers and rhinestones and distressed around the whole card with the pickled raspberry distress ink!!
I look forward to seeing all your love creations!! Pop on over to the PCJ blog to see what the other DT gals created!!
I am entering this into the following challenges!!
* Simon Says Stamp - Have a  Heart
* Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
* Inky Chicks - Valentine or Anniversary Card
* Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
* Top Tip Tuesday - Let me call you Sweetheart

Digi Bell's Post with Sweet Tooth Mary

Happy wednesday to you all!! We had a scorcher here today, so I still have the air con on to keep the house cool for tomorrow!! It's my turn to post on The Digi Bell's blog and I decided to use Sweet Tooth Mary which is of course by the fabulously talented Elisabeth Bell and you can get it from her digital collection... right now if your heart desires!! The reason I used this image is because my son recently lost his first tooth and he was so excited about the tooth fairy coming that I couldn't get him to go to sleep!! I know this image is of a girl but  he loves this image and it just represents him, he's both a crafter and recently lost his tooth so it is just perfect!!

I coloured Sweet Tooth Mary in with Tria markers and added a bit of kindy glitz and glitter pen to parts of the image!! I inked around the image with mowed lawn distress ink. I'm not sure what company the tooth fairy paper is but it was something Logan picked up at a craft store late last year and the tooth fairy embellishments were also something he picked up!
Logan loved this card whe I showed him this morning and he is now going to do his scrap book page with the photo of him with his first missing tooth!!
Don't forget the Digi Bell's Blog Hop is still going on, you have one more day to join in and try your luck at winning the gorgeous new image Love You, Miss You which is now available in Elisabeth Bell's Digital collection!!

Seems a Little Sketchy - Sketch 32

Hi all, back again with my second post today!! We have a new sketch for you today at Seems a Little Sketchy and we are sponsored by Sweet 'n' Sassy.
Here is the sketch:
And here is my card!
I used Bethany Bunny from Sweet 'n' Sassy for my card!! I coloured her in with tria markers and used glitter pen on all the pink!! Now you will have to excuse my poor sewing , but I am a card maker and not a sewer after all!! I used my floral vine die again and the paper is again from my scrap stash!! I still have not bought any patterned in over a year and my scrap stash has decreased a lot but I still have a stash of paper that I will continue to use!! To finish off the card I just added some buttons with twine and rhinestones!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

A new challenge at Craft Your Passion brings sad news!!

Hello and welcome to challenge 148 at Craft Your Passion!!  Before I share my card with you, it is with a heavy heart that I bring you some sad news!! We were to be sponsored by The Digi Garden this week but we were informed late last week that the owner Jacqui McNeil passed away suddenly!! So I wish to send my deepest sympathy to her family and friends. May the memories of the times you had with her help you through this sad time!!! (Jenn (CYP blog owner) will still honour the prize from the Digi Garden and give the winner the digi images the DT got to create with).
So this weeks challenge is Pastels!! We don't want to see bright or dark colours just Pastel colours in your creations!!  I used Molly Heart Peeker from the Digi Garden and I just loved creating this card!!
I coloured Molly Heart peeker in with tria markers and added kindy glitz to the hearts.  I printed out the image twice and stuck the hearts on foam tape for a bit of dimension!! The papers I used are from my scrap stash. I recently won the floral vine die and wanted to use it  and I think it perfectly with the layout of my card! The ribbon was from another blog candy win, then I added the flowers and buttons and the heart charm. To finish it off  I added some rhinestones mainly cos I hadn't used any...LOL! I probably could have left them off but hey they look ok!!
That's it from me but I'll be back with another post very shortly!!!

So without further ado here is my creation with MISS YOU, LOVE YOU which you can now get from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection.
This is such a sweet image and I just loved colouring her up!! I think she can be used for so many occasions but I decided to make a miss you card cos I found this rubon sentiment which I thought suited the image perfectly! So Miss you, Love you is coloured with tria markers with a bit of kindyglitz added!!! I then just die cut some flowers (with my memory box die) and added some rhinestones!! Oh and I distressed around the edges of the image with Squeezed lemonade distress ink!!
Well that's it from me, so head on over to Rose's Blog to see her beautiful creation. And if you get lost along the way then head back to the Digi Bell's Blog where you will find the full blog hop list. 3 or More Layers plus add red and pink at Polka Doodles!!

Wow, it feels like forever since I made a card for Polka Doodles!!! Hope you joined in the fabulous Blog Hop recently with the new Emma Canning images!!! All the DT did a fabulous job with the images!!
This weeks challenge at Polka Doodles is 3 or more layers and pink and red so make a card with 3 or more layers of paper and include the colors pink and red
I found this theme a bit of a challenge as I'm not a fan of red and pink together so my card is not totally red and pink but I do have red and pink in the card which is how I interpreted the challenge theme!!.
My images and papers are from the Cherry Blossom Lane CD and the sentiment is from Studio 12 Picknix Collection 1 CD.I used this gorgeous precoloured image and layered it on a spellbinders die, then finished the card with buttons, flowers, pearls and ribbon and some kindyglitz for a bit of sparkle!! Wasn't too sure of this card when I first finished it but it has grow on me and I gave it to a friend for her birthday and she loved it!!
I hope you will join in with our challenge and if you are wanting some amazing digi images and papers why not head on over to the Polka Doodles shop where you will find sets for every occasion.
