Sketch 51 at Seems a Little Sketchy!

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. We have had 50 sketches at SALS so we thought we'd go back to the very beginning and use the very first sketch that started off the SALS challenges.
We are sponsored by two sponsors this fortnight!

And here is the sketch
And here is my card.
I used this Thinking of You sentiment from Bugaboo. I didn't want to do too much to it so I just coloured the flowers and a few of the leaves in with tria markers and added some kindyglitz. I thought this would be a nice sympathy card so I decided to keep the colours minimal. I embossed the white card stock and scrunched up the red card stock! I inked everything  then added the ribbon and flower to finish it off!!!!
I hope that you'll join us this fortnight at SALS!

It's Halloween at Craft Your Passion!

Finally caught up with all my DT commitments, now I just have to catch up on my homework...lol.. I am really hoping that I can get ahead this week but I'm sure something will get in the way of that...
Anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and this week's challenge is Halloween -BUT we want to see the nicer, fun side of it. I'm afraid any dark, macabre, gory or gruesome creations will not count.
This week we are sponsored by Just Some Lines

I got to use Vampirette and I decided to create a CAS card!
I coloured Vampirette in with tria markers and added some sparkle to her wings! I then just inked around the white card with Black soot distress ink and stamped the Little Darlings Halloween sentiment!.
I hope you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion!

Anything Goes at Paper Crafting Journey!

A new challenge has started over at Paper Crafting Journey and this fortnight our challenge for you is Anything Goes!! Nice and easy one so I'm sure we will get plenty of entries. WE are sponsored by Digital Delights this challenge.
I decided to try something new this week and I have to say it's not perfect but was fun to make.

I followed the tutorial over on Splitcoast Stampers  to make this Top Hat. I stumbled through a few of the steps just because I didn't really have the tools or materials needed.. I embossed some black card stock before making all the cuts and folds.  I set the eyelets and thread the black thread through. I added the ribbon and inked up some flowers and added them to finish off the Top Hat.
I hope that you join us this fortnight at Paper Crafting Journey!

New challenge at Polka Doodles!!

Just before writing this post I saw I was on 499 posts so guess what this is my 500TH post! I can't believe I have shared that many cards with you over the past few years!! I should be celebrating in some way but I don't have anything planned so I may just do a surprise give away to one of my commenters over the next couple of weeks.

So it's time for a new challenge at Polka Doodles and as always there are some fab prizes up for grabs. My head has not been in crafting lately and wasn't too sure what to make for this challenge but remembered I had a spare door hanger lying around  so I decorated that.
I have used everything from the Home For Christmas CD. The images are all pre-coloured which is is what I love about the Polka Doodles cd rom's. AS much as I love colouring sometimes it's nice to spend more time putting something together than colouring an image to create with!! I printed some pre-coloured elements off separately so that I could give the hanger a bit of dimension and I just added a bit of kindyglitz and rock candy stickles for some sparkle! The sentiment is also from the Home For Christmas CD. Both my 9 year old son and my sister both pointed out that the C is back the front on Christmas but I am just assuming that's the way it's supposed to be.. :)
I thought the tree was looking a little bare so I added the rhinestones!!
If you haven't already guessed the theme for this week then head on over to Polka Doodles to see if you are right and while you are there check out the rest of the DT's fabulous creations, then join in the challenge!

Think Pink at Craft Your Passion!!

Hello, I'm late again with my card... internet issues plus just plain busy! And today I've just had a blah day! Not sure what's going on but hopefully I'll wake up feeling better tomorrow!
Anyway, a new challenge is up and running at Craft Your Passion and this week we are sponsored by Dilly Beans.

The challenge this week is Think Pink so we want to see lots of pink.
I coloured this Dilly Beans image in with tria markers! The papers are from a kaisercraft paper pad. I added some flowers and buttons and the ribbon and rhinestones....
I hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion!! Be sure to visit the CYP blog to see the rest of the DT creations and also there is a DT call on for the next week so try out and come and join us!!

Digi Bell's Blog Hop featuring Elisabeth Bell's newest digi!!

Hello and welcome to October's Digi Bell's Blog Hop!!! We have an adorable new Elisabell Bell digi to share with you but let's get the formalities out of the way first! If you have arrived from  The Digi Bell's blog you would have found out all the details of the hop and the list of stops in case you get lost!
Okey Dokey then, let's get on with the unveiling... please welcome
**Little Witch on the Moon**

You may recognise this sweet little witch from when she was a stand alone image at Whiff of Joy. Elisabeth has brought her back to life sitting on the moon!

I coloured this adorable image in with tria markers, then die cut it out and inked around the edge with black and orange distress ink. I decided to make a starburst card again using papers from Polka Doodles. I started with a black card case and added the orange card stock which I cut a border from and cut and added ribbon between the two pieces! I then just added the bats and arrows for embellishments and the sentiment!!!
It's now time for you to head on over to Lori's blog where I am sure she will have something amazing to share with you..
If you would like to pic up this little cutie right now then head over to Elisabeth Bell's Digi collection where she is now available!
Thanks for joining in the hop!!!

Here is this fortnights sketch:

and here is my card:

I coloured Annabel from Crafty Sentiments in with tria markers. The papers are from the new Witchie Witchie 2013 Download Bundle from Polka Doodles., I then just added the little buttons and the twine!!! Oh and the rhinestones!!!
I hope that you can join us this fortnight at Seems a Little Sketchy!

Add Some Embossing at Craft Your Passion

A new challenge has started over at Craft Your Passion and this week we would like to see your creations with some Embossing added!!! It can be wet or dry embossing or both if you wish- you choose! We are sponsored by

Here is my card:
I actually made this card a few months ago but never used it and I have been flat out since starting my course so decided to take a bit of pressure off myself and use it for this challenge because luckily it had some dry embossing on it:). I used this cute PollyCraft image which I coloured with tria markers. I do vaquely remember copying a sketch to create this card but not sure which one! So all I did was emboss the gree cs with a Happy Birthday Embossing Folder, used a half circle for the blue cs, then stuck the image on some yellow and then stamped the fish onto the coloured cs that I used and cut them out!! And finished it off with a sentiment!! This is one of my favourite cards that I have made!!
I hope that you can join us for the remainder of the challenge at Craft Your Passion.

Halloween at Polka Doodles!!

hello and welcome to my blog where I'm always  creating but always seem to be late!! I really try not to be but with the time difference and daylight savings just started here it throws me all out of whack!! So I do apologise to everyone!! I think I'm still in holiday mode too.. Next week I'm doing work experience for a week so it's going to be tiresome I think!!! I'm going to have to be a bit organised but the good thing is I won't be late for work cos I'm working at my boys school. :)
Anyway you are here to see what I have created for the  Halloween challenge at Polka Doodles and I wold love to share it with you!!!

I found this cute little tin on my travels last week in a $2 shop where nothing is $2..LOL. I did originally have another idea for this challenge but when I saw this tin decided I could make it trick or treaty!! So  I went to the new Witchie Witchie 2013 Download Bundle and decorated it with papers, embellishments, images and the trick or treat sentiment! The only extra's I added were the spiderweb ribbon and the twine! Oh and of course I added some kindyglitz cos I couldn't help myself!!! :)
The new Witchie Witchie 2013 Download Bundle is an instant download bundle so go and grab it for yourself... it has everything you need to create your Halloween goodies!!
I look forward to seeing your creations this week at our Halloween challenge at Polka Doodles.

Starbursting Little Miss Mouse!

It is getting super late here so this is going to be a quick post. It is my turn to post on The Digi Bell's blog and today my card features Little Miss Mouse from Elisabeth Bell's digital collection.
I have seen these gorgeous starburst cards around so decided to give one a go and I just love how my card turned out... Will definitely be making more of these!!! I didn't add any embellishments except for a couple of rhinestones and the ribbon because I wanted the image on the starburst to be the focus of the card!! I coloured Little Miss Mouse in with tria markers, die cut her out and cut out extra wings and flowers so they could pop off the card! I added kindyglitz for a bit of sparkle and used some washi tape to break up the green background paper! All the papers are from the Basic Grey Kneehighs paper pad!
If you would like this or any other adorable Elisabeth Bell's digital image then stop by Elisabeth Bell's digital collection.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
* Card Mania - Pastel Colours
* The Squirrel and the Fox - Things with Wings
* Elphine House - Simply Cute

Heavy Metal at Craft Your Passion!!

Hello, it's time for a new challenge at Craft Your passion and this week we are sponsored by Kenny K. Our theme is Heavy Metal so - Add something metal to you card/project. It doesn't need to be heavy or lots. Just a long as there is something made from metal that is fine :)
I didn't have any metal that was related to the theme of my card so I  used staples!!
I coloured the image in with tria markers, embossed a piece of black cardstock, then stuck the orange glittery designer paper on with staples, added the guitar sticker and the circle sticker and hand sticker. Quite a simple card but turned out fab!!
Hope that you can join us this week at Craft Your Passion!
